Dianne Guthrie: Dianne is from a family of artists. She studied painting with her father, Don Allen, a well-known watercolorist and portrait artist, as well as with Cecilia Lin of China, Steve Wilder-SMU, and more recently David Terry and Don Sahli. Dianne prefers a wet-in-wet technique, which incorporates oriental brushwork to blend vibrant colors. Her paintings have received recognition and awards: 2010- 1st Place juried show (NLAPW), honorable mention in Germantown, TN National Juried show and Richardson, TX Civic Juried show. She has been commissioned to paint over 150 house portraits and people in Dallas and various parts of the US. Her portraits of Jesus were featured in 2003 in a one woman show in Dallas.
